Hello Devon
I’ve been following your awesome tutorial on nettuts about the mobile me interface.
I don’t know how to contact you so I use this page. Sorry if it’s not the place for doing that.
Ok so here is my little problem, I try to add another album to the data.json file like you mention it in the file but it’s simply not working. So maybe I must add the new album in the data file and then modify something in the javascript file to let it work… Well I don’t know how to make it working.
Could you help me with that, I’m sure it’s obvious for you :]
Thx
Julien

Hi Julien!
I added an album to the data.json file just fine. Make sure you are putting it in the right place. There is a comment in the file that says “Add more albums here…” which is where they should go. Also, make sure that there is a comma after the first album.
Here is a link to a data.json file with multiple albums that you can work from: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/534786/data.json.
One more thing: your browser may have cached the file, so you could try clearing the cache.
Hope this helps!

Hi Devon,
How do I get Printliminator to drag in Internet Explorer. Our faculty wants to use it, but can’t get it to work in IE, but I can Firefox. This is absolutely wonderful and I want our faculty to be able to use it too since it will cut down on paper usage.

I like your Printliminator program, but I have a PC. I have a Favorites Bar; is that the same as a Bookmark bar on a MAC?
I can get the icon to drag onto the Favorites Bar. All it does is put the whole website on the bar.
Any suggestions?

Hi Devon,
I saw on an article comment that you had a SVG->Canvas parser. I would be interested in looking at that code as I was working on a game using PhoneGap, as you may already know mobile webkit SVG support is spotty at best. Please contact me at the email address below.
Thanks,
Joe Graham

Hi Devon, I’d like to talk to you about your jquery text overflow plugin (specifically about getting a header for the file–to ensure you get proper credit for the work) Can you please email me at the email address supplied for this comment? Thanks!

Hi Devon
I saw your post about cross browser text rendering.
Would love to talk and see if we could contract you for some expert advice on problems we are facing when trying to stretch cross browser text to the limit.
Anyone else with expert level knowledge – please let me know.

Hello Devon,
I know this is outdated, but I’ve followed the tutorials you made in 2009 about recreating the mobileMe gallery interface. Very interesting indeed as I was looking for some gallery sample where I would be able to post my wedding pictures/videos.
Now, I’m no website developper so I know nothing about coding and java scripting but I know how to make basic changes to the code so that my pictures can show up instead of those provided by Apple’s demo gallery!! The thing is that I would like to include to the code IE support, carrousel view, possibility to change background colors, backend uploader (as I have litterally thousands of pictures) and some video support. Unfortunately that is an impossible task for me to do since, as I just said, I know nothing about coding. By chance, did you ever developped this code?
Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

Hi Devon and friends! … we need a self contained java script that detects when a single face is present on an HTML5 canvas if it fills 25% OR MORE of that canvavs. We then need it to tell us how large in size the face is on the canvas and its location on that canvas. Sounds like you et al might be able to do that for our little project here. So can it be done quickly from what your talking about? We’re a company doing R&D so we could be mighty thankful for help with self contained face framing, HTML5 javascript. I’m putting my personal email so not to be so disclosing for the time being. Regards, Me

Hi Devon,
I have a question about PDFKit. My team is using D3.js and want to be able to export the SVG/CSS based charts and graphs to PDF. Is there a way to get D3.js and PDFkit to play together (fairly easily)?
Thanks for all you amazing contributions to the dev space!
Cheers,
